Books that motivate action

Eat that frog by Brian Tracey

Read! This! Book! The principals are so easy to follow and if implemented, they can really take you strides ahead! It addresses the common pitfall of doing the less intimidating tasks first and gets you to think about what happens if you eat the big frog first. Tracey comments that ‘There is never enough time to do everything but there is enough time to do the right thing!’ Amen!

If life is a game, these are the rules by Cherie Carter-Scott

A really simple but thought provoking read. This book addresses the idea of how e are all here to learn lessons in life. I love that this book addresses this as…I am of the school that lessons (no matter how unpleasant) are here for our growth. If we don’t embrace and learn from them, they will continue to be served to us until we listen.  It is a very empowering read.

What to say when you talk to yourself by Shad Helmstetter:

A book I used to remove from the bookshelf when I would have visitors but one of my faves! Many people don’t actually listen to how they talk to themselves and further are not aware of the negative effects that negative self talk can have (or the benefits of positive self talk either for that matter).  This book gives you some fantastic positive self talk suggestions and tactics to implement the practice into your everyday life. ‘Everyday in every way I’m getting better and better.’ That’s right I am!

The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale

One of the greats! Our thoughts become our reality. Norman does a wonderful job at clearly explaining the effects of our thoughts. It does refer to God a lot but if you don’t follow these teachers don’t be put off…read between the lines and take the lessons home. They are powerful.  He also gives you some great exercises to try.

Manifest Your Destiny:

A book by one of the greats! Wayne talks about ancient manifestation principles and the idea that you really can have it all.
