Can you imagine what it would be like to carry a three kilo bag of oranges with you everywhere you went? What would that feel like? Would it be annoying?
You go to the restroom…they come with you.
You go for a Friday night drink with friends, they come with you.
You go to visit family, they come with you.
You go to the gym, they come with you to every machine.
Someone asks you to drop into a meeting for two minutes…don’t forget your oranges!
Ok…you get the point.
With time, you would probably feel quite strange without your oranges. They would have become a part of you.
So…now…what if those ‘oranges’ were actually limiting beliefs that no longer (or never did) serve you but for some reason, you can’t let them go. And the reality is, it is harder to let ‘energetic oranges’ go because you can’t see or feel them but they are a HUGE energetic burden on you.
Each orange could represent anything ‘heavy’ in your life from negative thoughts about yourself to incorrect beliefs that you have built over time (usually during your childhood) or negative expectations about what is going to happen based on what has happened in the past.
These oranges affect your every thought, your action and (believe it or not) how others perceive you – even if they (and you) don’t consciously realize it.
So…why not take small steps to just…let them go.
If you dropped a physical bag of oranges out of a hot air balloon, we know the balloon would soar higher and faster. This is exactly what will happen to you when you decide to let go of your energetic oranges.
Did someone say Home play? I did!
I encourage you to take the time to sit down and think of what your ‘oranges’ are. What is holding you back? What do you need to let go of? Then…put all these oranges in a bag and…imagine taking them to the edge of a cliff or even setting them on fire. I would recommend an action that means you can’t go and find them again – for example, don’t put them in a cupboard or the trash outside.
Really picture getting rid of them and feel the energetic shift.
It’s time to upset your apple cart (or in this case orange bag) because magic happens in lightness.
