Relax

It is in the silence that we find the answers. I have a confession to make, I used to be terrible at this! A friend once said to me ‘Lou, if you have 5 minutes spare, you shove something into it’. I could never allow my brain to rest – constantly moving, thinking, contemplating…

  1. Am I doing enough?
  2. Am I living a complete life?
  3. What more can I do?

It was on a trip to Chiang Mai in Thailand in 2013 that I met someone who was to change my life. She did a birth reading for me and… basically said that I need to slow down otherwise, with time, my organs will shut down. As soon as I arrived back in Singapore, I started ‘Operation Meditation and Slow down’ and it changed my life. I felt like I was more present, enjoyed the moment more and noticed things I had never noticed before – sounds, images, people… life!

From Meditation to long walks, silent breaks where you simply observe the environment around you or even simply making sure you give yourself 7-8 hours sleep a night. This section will take you through my journey to relaxation. I know I have a long way to go but… I’m taking the steps.
